 Chronological Boundaries of the Course

The course has as its chronological frame the period from prehistory to approximately 1750. 

Although historians may debate the dates, the categorization of history into time periods help provide a manageable way to recognize major continuities and changes throughout our study of World History.  The list below are the generally accepted dates upon which our course will proceed.
  



 TO 8000 BCE
8000 BCE - 3500 BCE
3500 BCE  - 600 BCE
600 BCE - 600 CE
600 - 1450 CE
1450 -1750 CE
